Emily Johnson serves as a Research Associate focused on issues related to financial services and international trade. In addition to client advocacy, Emily is responsible for analyzing congressional and regulatory activity, as well as providing clients with policy briefs on congressional hearings, legislation and regulation, updates on the political and electoral landscape, and regular outlooks known as “The Financial Services Week Ahead” (weekly), and “The Trade Agenda: What to Watch” (biweekly).
Emily joined Peck Madigan Jones in May of 2019. Prior to joining the firm, she was an Account Executive at Edelman on the Financial Communications team, where she worked with a variety of corporate, public affairs and crisis clients on content development, messaging strategy and stakeholder engagement. Prior to joining the Financial Communications team, Emily interned at Edelman on the Public Affairs – Integrated Advocacy team.
Emily graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in Athens, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She majored in public relations and minored in communicative studies. She is a member of the Women in Government Relations (WGR) Financial Services Taskforce.
